Diploma in Psychology

The programme is designed for graduates to become professionally trained in theories, knowledge, skill and methods in psychology.

Graduates will be prepared for work in welfare agencies, rehabilitation centre, community centre, government organization, NGO’s organizations and private sector companies. The graduates are trained to be progressive, innovative, creative and efficient in problem solving or decision making of patient or client management. Graduates are also expected to understand and demonstrate sensitivities and responsibilities towards religion, community, culture and environment by ethical principles and professional code of conduct of the psychologist profession.

The programme objective is to produce graduates who have a comprehensive understanding of the principles of human minds and behaviours and who are able to apply these principles in dealing with the human taught, behaviour & emotions and enhancing human potentials in community or workplace.

FEE 4,000 MYR/SEMESTER

To be eligible for entry into the program, an applicant must have met any of the following requirements:

  • Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent with 3 credits in any subjects and a Pass in English, Bahasa Melayu,
    Mathematics and Science OR
  • Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent with atleast 1 full pass with CGPA 2.00 and a Pass in
    Mathematics and Science at SPM level OR
  • Other relevant or equivalent qualification, experience and requirement accepted by the University Senate or competent
    authority in Malaysia
